when lights close their tired eyes

LISTENING TO: Cream - Sunshine of Your Love

Somehow, I always end up in Fresno when I visit California, and this time is no exception, although at least this time I got to see a little bit more of it. Today was a bit of an early start before my flight, which of course meant breakfast. At my cousin's suggestion, we drove out to Benaddiction's, which although was a bit farther out from Visalia was pretty close to the airport, and I'm glad we did. This place, on top of having one of the most creative menus I've seen in a while, was pretty much my aesthetic in a restaurant - surrounded by music, pop culture, and some of the most fun and eclectic coffee mugs a girl could ask for. It's a pretty unassuming place from the outside, but the overall experience does not disappoint.

From there, it was back to the Fresno airport, which with it's nice sequoia tree always is a memorable place to be. After enjoying a nice glass of wine in the main terminal, it was off to Phoenix for a little bit of a layover, which of course meant tacos, before the final trek back to Philadelphia. That's a lot of travel for two sentences, but that's really what it felt like. Outside of the fact that it was really nice to have been on an airplane again to end my year, after the last few years especially.
