I never needed anyone / until I crashed into the sun

LISTENING TO: Jet - Goodbye Hollywood The wedding! The whole reason I was in Cape May this weekend came to fruition at a winery I didn't know existed, which was a nice surprise, especially seeing how gorgeous Willow Creek Winery is. Set on an adorable lane that wraps its way around a farm (with chickens and geese and at least one goat, I think), and then up through the winery, there's a whole bunch of charm and a lot of great wine. The ceremony was outside in front of the vines, with the main tasting room connected to an outside bar and patio that allowed for beautiful views and a great atmosphere for the cocktail hour. Speaking of the main tasting room, it had a rustic charm and an amazing bar that created a wonderful space for the reception. The next time I come down I definitely want to do a full tasting/tour, because the wine served was delicious. The other great thing? The trolley back to the hotel after all that lovely wine. Willow Creek was such a great location for...

LISTENING TO: Panic! At The Disco - Roaring 20's Following up prior to the wedding, my run down memory lane in Cape May continues - however, we start with something new on top of all of the nostalgic memories that have been coming my way. With the weather still nice even this late in September, eating eggs benedict on a screened-in porch is the perfect way to start a busy day. After being armed with food and caffeine, the morning continued by walking down the beach a bit prior to taking a drive out by the lighthouse and the S.S. Atlantus. Now for most people familiar with Cape May, the lig...

I've heard of all the same old stories / and I've walked alone the same old avenues

LISTENING TO: Heaven's Basement - Be Somebody Aren't weddings wonderful? Cape May is always a place I relate to my childhood, even though I only remember two main trips all the way down the shore. There was so much happiness and excitement associated with these memories that it was one of those places that just stuck in my mind as somewhere I wanted to go back to. Cut to today, and here I am, getting ready for a wedding and finally able to spend a little bit of time in a place I don't really remember except for the overall feeling of joy that I'm here. Cape May is famously known as Exit Zero, since in New Jersey, the highway literally ends in town. To be completely honest, this isn't the first time I've been back in Cape May since I would be considered an adult, but seeing as that other time was little over a year ago and for the occasion of a bachelorette party, this is really truly my first vacation here since I was in elementary school. Driving down...
