LISTENING TO: Cher Lloyd - One Drink Away This weekend went by much quicker than I expected, but that's maybe due to how much I enjoyed it; I really was telling the truth when I said I hadn't had that much fun being a tourist in a while - blaming what you will on the pandemic, of course. After finishing coffee yesterday morning, we made plans for my good college friend to meet us for brunch. Although we hadn't yet really decided on a location, one of the places my mom has always wanted to visit was Eataly - and after having one of the most New York taxi cab experience (the gentleman was almost stereo-typically aggressive with his driving skills), that's where we ended up. I'm not quite sure what I was expecting, but if you wanted to plan a day shopping here, you absolutely could, although you'd probably have to then figure out how to transport everything back safely on the train. It's such a unique experience - we got there early enough that although it wa...

LISTENING TO: The Cast of The Broadway Musical Six - Six If yesterday's post seemed a little abbreviated, that's because it was - I only started writing a bit before we hit Penn Station. First things first in our tourist weekend - where we're staying. Where e...

LISTENING TO: Starman - David Bowie There is always something comforting about a train ride, as stupid as that may sound. I've done this trip to the city (as in New York City) probably nearly a hundred times before, and surprisingly, I've never written about it. As I'm officially doing a tourist-tour/bucket list trip this weekend, I do have to say I almost always forget how nice it is to not have to make this trip alone. It's been a few trips around the sun since either my mom or my sister have done the full NYC experience, and it's definitely nice to not have to make the trip in the early morning hours makes this feel even more like a weekend vacation away.
