LISTENING TO: Fall Out Boy - The Phoenix I'm not sure what I was expecting with WPPI, but as my very first large-scale conference/expo, but it's safe to say what I got was both everything and nothing, which makes no sense, and yet total sense at the same time. Mostly. Anywhoo, after a lovely brunch at Il Fornato in the New York New York, , it was conference time. This was a big deal, filling both conference rooms at the MGM. I'm going to be writing a more comprehensive post about the conference over at rachelrutledge.com once we get back, so I'll keep this one here short. If you're in the wedding industry, or even just thinking about getting into the wedding industry, definitely make a trip to WPPI the next chance you get. It's insane and wonderful and puts you in a position to gain so much knowledge. From there, it was shopping time. After a quick cocktail (because, Vegas, baby!), we hit some souvenir shops down the strip, and then got ready for dinne...

LISTENING TO: Tinie Tempah & Swedish House Mafia - Miami 2 Ibiza   So where did we leave off? =D Dinner was fantastic. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Las Vegas to take a trip to the shops along the canal at The Venetian. Not only was dinner at Canonita awesome, but it was so much fun... except for the fact that it put me into a food coma. The giant Hershey store! Going on the rollercoaster around midnight!), it occurred to me I had been up for over 24 hours and was about to fall asleep standing up, so off to bed I went (so much for my exciting first night in Las Vegas, no?). Which leads into today. After playing my very first slot machine (and winning all of $10, go me!) and a quick coff...

Listening to: The 1975 - Heart Out Who would have thought it would have taken me nearly three years to go on another trip that requires a plane flight (and a work trip at that?). And so here we are, back in the saddle again. So where are we off to, you're asking? Why, the only place you can go after not going anywhere for a while - Las Vegas, of course! But even with it being a work trip (to the wonderful wedding-world of WPPI at the MGM Grand, which doesn't officially start until Monday), it was nice to get out of the snowy endless winter of New Jersey to the warm climate of Nevada. And as the first trip I've ever made to the western coast of the United States, it's shaping up to be pretty fantastic. After an early morning flight out of Newark, a quick layover in Philadelphia, it was then off to Vegas with some minor turbulence (which called for some free wine), I'm sitting here in a hotel room at the New York New York, still not entirely sure what I...
